Dan Groover
Dan Groover is a French-Israeli artist, born in 1970, who lives and works in South Tel Aviv. A pioneer of the late-1980s Paris graffiti scene, he later developed a language combining Street Art, Pop Art, hip-hop culture, Israeli history, and Jewish mysticism. Spray paint, collage, cut wood, and Plexiglas give his works color, relief, and hidden messages.
In Tel Aviv, he developed a language that fuses graffiti, Pop Art, hip-hop culture, Israeli history, and Jewish mysticism. Spray paint, collage, stencil, cut wood, and Plexiglas produce works filled with color, symbols, and hidden messages. Contemporary icons become actors in a story linking the ancient world with the present.
After more than thirty years of practice, Groover exhibits in galleries, creates public projects, and has founded several artistic communities. His work combines the immediate impact of street art with the depth of spiritual inquiry. Every piece is conceived as a bridge between memory, identity, and popular culture.
