Koketit
Shira Barzilay, known as KOKETIT, is an Israeli artist, born in 1982, who lives and works in Tel Aviv. A graduate of Shenkar College of Engineering and Design, this “doodle poet” has developed a minimalist language based on the single line. A few marks are enough to suggest a face, a body, or an emotion with remarkable economy.
Her approach is about precision rather than simplicity. By removing the unnecessary, she seeks to reveal what escapes the first glance. Digital drawing, ink, marker, photography, and gold leaf allow her to work across varied supports, as though the whole world were her canvas.
Supported by a large international community, KOKETIT has collaborated with Chanel, Facebook, Amazon, and Anthropologie. Her work moves freely between art, fashion, and contemporary visual culture. Immediately recognizable, elegant, and expressive, it turns a handful of lines into a universal presence while leaving room for every viewer’s own story.
