Meir Srebriansky
Meir Srebriansky is a French artist, born in Strasbourg in 1976, who lives and works in New York from his studio at Mana Contemporary. A graduate of Strasbourg’s École supérieure des arts décoratifs, he gradually moved from cinema-inspired figuration toward abstraction in motion. Oil, acrylic, drawing, wood, epoxy, and resin give his work material depth and radiance.
His language combines oil, acrylic, drawing, wood, cast resin, epoxy, and found fragments. Shapes derived from figurative sketches, popular culture, science, and personal imagination overlap in physical, colorful, often relief-like compositions. Resin introduces an element of unpredictability that freezes gesture and causes the work to shift with light.
Srebriansky has exhibited in the United States, Europe, and Asia, including at the European Parliament in Strasbourg, the Belskie Museum, and in Hong Kong. His works reconcile spontaneity with construction and surface with sculpture. They carry immediate contemporary energy supported by a demanding process and a powerful personal story.
