Mr Brainwash

Thierry Guetta, known as Mr Brainwash, is a French artist, born in 1966, who lives and works in Los Angeles. Initially a filmmaker around artists such as Invader, Shepard Fairey, and Banksy, he became one of the most recognizable figures in contemporary Street Pop. His language combines Pop Art, graffiti, stencil, silkscreen, and popular icons in a vivid, optimistic aesthetic.

His work combines the energy of graffiti with icons of popular culture, stencil, silkscreen, collage, and splashed paint. Messages of love, hope, and creativity run through compositions that are both explosive and immediately accessible. Madonna notably commissioned him to create the cover for her album “Celebration.”

Exhibited and collected worldwide, he has produced more than thirty major public murals and installations and opened the Mr Brainwash Art Museum in Beverly Hills in 2022. His works possess the visual impact of the street, the energy of spectacle, and an optimistic signature that has become iconic.
