Joel Amit is an Israeli artist, designer, and architect, born in Jerusalem in 1982, who lives and works in Israel. After studying psychology and helping develop student and artist villages in the Negev, he trained in architecture and graduated from the Bezalel Academy in 2016. Alongside those studies, he developed his distinctive language based on laser-cut metal.
Alongside his studies, he developed a distinctive language based on laser-cut metal. Hundreds of hand-painted elements come together in wall compositions that seem to vibrate, scatter, or take flight. Inspired by graceful movements in nature, Amit deconstructs them through the filter of pixels and digital imagery, creating a dialogue between the organic world and technology.
His wall sculptures and public installations have gained international recognition. Density, color, depth, and cast shadows transform the work as the viewer moves. Each piece combines architectural precision, the spontaneity of life, and an immediate sense of visual joy.
