Yosef Wasse is an Israeli artist, born in 1998, who lives and works in Israel. After drawing from childhood, he searched following his military service for a language connecting creativity, identity, and spirituality. He developed a striking technique based on hand-broken, hammered glass, in which every impact demands precision and trust.
For Wasse, glass is far more than a material. Every impact demands precision and trust: one blow that is too strong can destroy days of work. Yet from this fragility emerge powerful images, often linked to symbols of Israel, faith, and reconstruction. The fragments catch light and transform the surface as the viewer moves.
His personal journey gives the technique particular resonance: the artist makes broken pieces the starting point for a new unity. His works combine virtuosity, tension, and a message of hope. They offer a rare contemporary presence in which beauty does not deny fracture, but transforms it into light.
