IZa Zaro is a French Pop Street artist, born in 1965, who lives and works in Paris. Trained at the École Corvisart and ENSAAMA in typography, textile design, and silkscreen, she later expanded her practice through African batik, engraving, stencil, and collage. Her visual language carries women’s messages of resistance, emancipation, and renewal.
The representation of women lies at the heart of her work. Free figures, assertive messages, color, and layered surfaces allow her to address women’s rights, violence, desire, and emancipation. Her move from studio work to city walls gave her painting a direct, accessible, and engaged voice.
IZa Zaro has exhibited and created interventions in Paris, Montreal, Tel Aviv, Baku, Berlin, London, and Marrakesh. Her works combine technical richness, visual joy, and conviction. They affirm that a message can be powerful without sacrificing beauty, and that an image can become a space of freedom.
