Michael Edery

Michael Edery is a self-taught French contemporary artist who lives and works between Marseille and Tel Aviv. Born in Marseille in 1967 and drawn to art from an early age, he has developed a free Pop language in which vivid colors, stylized figures, and graphic energy engage with urban and popular culture. His painting moves between figuration and abstraction.

His canvases bring together portraits, cinematic scenes, music, fashion, and fragments of popular culture. Expressive faces, bold colors, spontaneous gestures, words, and slogans give his compositions an immediate presence. Beneath their vitality lies a sensitive view of humanity, society, and the emotions shared across generations.

Living between Marseille and Tel Aviv, Michael Edery has exhibited in Europe, Israel, and the United States.
